Mickey Bergman
Mickey is the Director of Congressional Relations and Senior Policy Analyst at the Center for Middle East Peace and Economic Cooperation. Mickey also works on the issue of Darfur. He has traveled to Darfur twice in the last two years, and was an official member of New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson’s delegation to Sudan to negotiate a ceasefire last January.
Mickey has been working for the Clinton Global Initiative as the Deputy Topic Director for the Religion, Conflict and Reconciliation Track since 2005. Prior to his work with former President Clinton, Mickey worked at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy in Washington, DC, and at the Brandeis-Bardin Institute in California.
He holds a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, with a certificate in International Business Diplomacy and concentrations in Foreign Policy and Conflict Management.
After serving for six years in the Artillery Forces of the IDF, Mickey went on to complete his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of California, Los Angeles. Mickey is also a Wexner Graduate Fellow.
Born in Tel Aviv and raised in Nigeria and Ra’anana, Israel, Mickey is now married to Robin.
