Despite a 10.5 percent increase in the number of Arabs and foreigners seeking medical treatment in Jordan in 2008, the number of Iraqi patients decreased due to problems they face in getting an entry visa, an official said Saturday.
“Although the government has facilitated the entry of Iraqis into Jordan, this is only applied to investors. Patients still encounter obstacles,” Private Hospitals Association (PHA) President Fawzi Hammouri told reporters [Saturday], adding that some Iraqis have started to seek treatment in other countries as a result.
