Blast Targets Fatah Member in Ain al-Hilweh

An explosion targeting a Fatah member’s home rocked the southern Palestinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh early Monday morning, causing material damage. The blast occurred at 1 a.m. outside Fatah member Salah Joumaa['s] home and destroyed his front door. The attack was followed by a brief shootout, but patrols were conducted in the camp in order to prevent any further escalation. …

The incident comes a week after a Fatah official was killed in an explosion at the entrance to the Mieh Mieh camp in southern Lebanon.
