Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Tuesday sought to bolster the fragile government of Lebanon, the country that experienced a recent wave of violence and quasi-civil war. She held a morning meeting with the Lebanese prime minister, Fouad Siniora, to close a two-day visit to Paris.
"We have great admiration for the leadership of Prime Minister Siniora and his democratically elected government, which is a government that is working on behalf of all the Lebanese people for democracy and for freedom," Rice said.
